Now, five-day shows for plays at Jagriti

Bangalore's theatre scene is showing a steady increase. While most theatre productions only saw a weekend show - with a maximum of four to five actual performances, the city's popular theatre space - Jagriti, located on Whitefield Road - has just upped the limit.
The performance arena is now going to sign on theatre productions that will stage plays on as many as five days at a stretch."We will now be staging the show from Wednesday on to Sunday, thereby giving the audience enough number of options on when they would like to come in to watch. Tickets for the weekend shows get booked too fast, so people have the option of coming in earlier than to miss it altogether. Also, there is enough time from Wednesday onwards for word-of-mouth publicity and for critics who wish to write reviews in time for the weekend," says an actor from the industry.
