Bengaluru-based
WeMove Theatre
is coming up with a one-month
online
course for children, where they can hone their storytelling, creative reading,
writing
and
acting
skills. The group is organising the online course, titled First Leaf, for
children
between the age of 7-14 starting August 10. The group aims to help children enhance their storytelling, reading, writing and acting skills.
Participants will be able to learn about building stories and creating characters. Children will have fun by playing team building games and they will be guided to come up with performances. The group has been working through the pandemic, generating content and conducting workshops on different apects. In addition to this, the group also recently began podcasts titled Tales from the Backstage, where the team shares their memories and tales from their career using digital medium. WeMove Theatre is also offering a 8-month comprehensive acting diploma
course
in acting/theatre in association with Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan.
Co-founder of the group Abhishek Iyengar also has been busy in the past years with screen writing. He was part of the writing team for the Vinay Bharadwaj directed Mundina Nildana, which saw a love of positive response from both the audience and the critics alike.
