Bengaluru sets the stage for narratives of caregivers

A First Drop Theatre production, ‘Care-Tharsis…Through the Eyes ... Read More
A rather riveting form of playback

theatre

is unfolding in Bengaluru over the weekend. Titled

Care-Tharsis… Through the Eyes of Caregivers

, it is an interactive performance that will bring to stage the personal narratives of family members, friends and relative, who constantly take care of patients at home or in hospitals.
“The stories of these unsung heroes, who are constantly at hand to serve people, are often never spoken about. And this is the story of many households, where the caregivers too have their share of pain, joy and frustration. This

playback

theatre performance aims at giving people a platform to share their tales, which will be enacted by a group of actors. Such narratives are also very relevant to our times, wherein caregivers are becoming a community in the society,” says

Radhika Jain

, Artistic Director of

First Drop Theatre

group, which is conducting the performance.
