A Kannada play about two prisoners
Mangaluru based team, Aayana Natakada Mane, are performing the
Kannada
play Dweepa.Dweepa
means island and is an adaptation of South African playwrightAthol FuGard
's work. It has been adapted by S Ramesh Mysore and directed by KP Laxman. The play looks at how two prisoners, who share a prison cell, on an unnamed island are mistreated in the prison. The two are also set to perform at a concert in the prison, and the challenges they go through as they prepare for the same.end of article
