. The play brings out themes of

equality

and how the theme applies to men and women.

The production looks at how women are often given items like gold and silk, which further takes her away from her freedom. The narrative shows how the women
of a village visit the samadhi (grave) of Sarasamma. Offerings are made to her in the hope that she will resolve any issues that the women have with their families and her husbands, and the story progresses from there.

Directed by BM Giriraj, the play will be staged on March 15.
