Vishal-Shekhar live in Bengaluru for Unmaad

Every year, the annual IIMB fest, Unmaad, sees good musical talent perform. This year too it is no different. In fact, this year, the organizers are getting a musical duo to perform who happen to be a favourite of the city. While Vishal was a regular here earlier performing with his band before they took a break, Shekhar isn’t a stranger. In fact, they have been coming to the city regularly.
The duo rose to prominence when they composed the score for the film Jhankaar Beats which included the song "Tu Aashiqui Hai". They won the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent for Jhankaar Beats. The music for the film Musafir combined techno music with Indian sounds.[citation needed] The score included "Saaki" and "Door Se Paas". In 2005 they composed the scores for three films: Salaam Namaste, Dus and Bluffmaster.
