Vasu Dixit talks about his five favourite music videos
Musician Vasu Dixit, who has been churning out new tracks since the lockdown, shares his favourite music
1. Let Forever be by Chemical Brothers and Come into my world by Kylie Minogue: Both these videos have been directed by Michel Gondry. I am a fan of his work. Both these tracks gave a different visualscape of what could be achieved in a music video. I still watch these tracks and they are my go to songs for
2. O Sanam by Lucky Ali: It was a time when we were growing up with music videos and this particular song was one of the first to be shot in a foreign location. It gave a different landscape as compared to what we were mostly used to seeing. The kind of mystery the music video brought in, the story is just remarkable. It's etched in my memory.
3. Sage by Ritviz: It is directed by Dar Gai and I would like to mention the DOP, Aditya Varma. I love the colours and textures that were brought in the video. The storyline is so simple and sweet. Every shot is well measured.
4. Paisa by Agosh: This video inspired me and made me think that we can make parody videos and yet be very creative. I liked how quirky and fun this video was. Being an art student, I could relate to this video.
5. Makeba by Jain: This video has some great visual effects. They way the visuals add to the song is just great. You will watch this song again and again.
