Singer Manasa Holla shares her grief on losing her father Shankhananda Aravind

On Friday, Kannada film lovers woke up to hear another sad news. Senior actor Shankananda Aravind succumbed to COVID-19 and breathed his last today at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was around 70 and leaves behind three children. As COVID-19 cases continue to spike in Karnataka - especially in Bengaluru - Sandalwood fraternity is losing its veteran actors, director and people who work behind the camera.
And, in an emotional post, his daughter and singer Manasa Holla was seen sharing her grief as she loses father Shankhananda Aravind in pictures.
"In January we lost our mother and now, we lost our father too" she posted along with a monochrome throwback picture.



He breathed his last today at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was around 70 and leaves behind three children. As COVID-19 cases continue to spike in Karnataka - especially in Bengaluru - Sandalwood fraternity is losing its veteran actors, director and people who work behind the camera. In his career, the actor has acted in over 250 films. He is said to be closely associated with director Kashinath. In a majority of films, Shankananda Aravind is seen in supporting roles. One of his memorable films is Bettada Hoovu, which starred Puneeth Rajkumar as a child artiste. He was also seen in the movie Gnana Gange which released in February. The Sandalwood industry, his friends and well-wishers have mourned the death of the actor.
