This V Harikrishna soundtrack gives
Sandalwood a new voice for the young actors. Mumbai-based
Armaan Malik is pretty much the voice that remains with one through the soundtrack. It also breaks free from the stereotypes of the must-have tapanguchi and pathos numbers and gives a young vibe. The first track, Armaan’s Free Ide is a pleasant hear and the lyrics by Jayanth Kaikini are equally interesting.
Armaan’s voice continues through the next two tracks.
While Jaadu Maadidanthe has a rock ballad-meets-gospel feel, the duet Achchaagide with Archana Ravi has subtle electro beats, adding tempo to a romantic number. Raghu Dixit gives his signature rockstar touch to Ninninda Dooragi, which has interesting guitar riffs. Sonu Nigam does his quintessential romantic song act in Ninna Nenape, which is quite reminiscent of his previous hits, especially Minchaagi Neenu Baralu from Gaalipata, which also was a Harikrishna-Sonu-Jayanth combination. Goa Song is a welcome change from the usual tapanguchi, giving this soundtrack a more upbeat and upmarket flavour. In all, the six tracks are peppy and definitely worth a listen.
