Sathish Ninasam releases tribute to the late Ambareesh

On Friday, as fans celebrated the birth anniversary of the

late Rebel Star Ambareesh

, actor Sathish Ninasam, who worked with him in Drama, released a special song as a tribute to him. Called

Mandayada Gandu Kala

, the song has been composed by Santhosh Venky and has lyrics by lyricist-filmmaker Chetan Kumar.
"I am not a singer. I have sung during my days in theatre and tried my hand at playback for my film Rocket, but I don't claim to be a singer. When I was approached to sing this song, though, as a fan of Ambareesh Anna, I wanted to show him my respects and decided to try my hand. I am not sure if I sang or just spoke the lines; I did it because I am also from

Mandya

and could use the dialect from the region. I was very happy 'singing' this song. It was quite an experience. The team brought me in to record and got it done in just about an hour. They said it came out good. I think I could have done better, if I had practiced some more. Thankfully, the response has also been good and I am glad that I could make Ambareesh anna’s fans also happy,” says Sathish.
