The 21st century lets us switch our ears in an instant from Gregorian chants to hip-hop or from ragas to bebop. Our brains are wonder-struck by the huge canvas of sounds available to the aural artist. The Esperanto project has been around for about 17 years now. It’s a musical enterprise aimed at melting barriers between genres by sheer feel and understanding.
Music catalysts from Bengaluru, singer-songwriter Gopal Navale and
veena virtuoso Geetha Navale, alongside a host of musicians from across the world have collaborated, performed, recorded and just celebrated the joy of discovering new vistas in the musical kaleidoscope.
The artistes include Michael Sorensen on blues harp, digeredoo and magic box; Nanda Kishore on flamenco and electronic guitar ; Nataraj on drums and bongos; and Rajkumar on thavil.
The show will take place at B Flat – HighNote Bar and Dining on 100 Feet Road, HAL 2nd Stage, Bengaluru on March 7 at 9 pm.
