Music Review: Shravani Subramanya

Music Review: Shravani Subramanya
Film: Shravani Subramanya
Music Director: V Harikrishna,
Rating: 2.5 stars
The music of this film gives the listener a prelude of what seems to be a sweet love story. With just four songs to its credit, composer V Harikrishna’s songs are high on content in terms of meaningful lyrics. While the songs are pleasant and not over-the-top, they do tend to take you a bit back it time.

Harikrishna has also captured the essence of folk music with the song Aakal Benne. One cannot imagine anybody else other than singer Majula Gururaj rendering this number after one listens to the magic that she weaves into the song with her voice. Krishna Gowdru is the lyricist for this naughty folk number.
Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam pitches in with two of the romantic songs. One is a solo number – Neena Nodo – which reminds one of a Hindi number featured on Salman Khan back in the 90s. The second is a peppy duet – Naguva Maguva – wherein he teams up with Nandita. The lyrics for both these numbers are penned by Kaviraj.
Yet another Bollywood singer Shaan pitches in for another romantic number – Kannalle Kannitu, the lyrics for which have been penned by Nagendra Prasad.
