Music composer Abhimann turns director

Music composer Abhimann Roy, known for songs like Kushiyagide Eko Ninnindale and Neenadhe Na is set to debut as an actor and director with his film My Life. The film also stars Preethu Pooja as the female lead.

“I consider directing and acting to be two streams of the same river, that is the film industry,” says Abhimann. About the film, he tells us, “The story showcases how two visually challenged individuals navigate through life. While one was born with the challenge, the other has lost sight recently. Their synergy is what makes the plot interesting. Initially, I had planned on using this storyline for a music video, but then it hit me that it could make for a full-fledged movie.”
Having starred in his own music videos before, Abhimann says, “Facing the camera as an actor, therefore, was not a challenge. I was not nervous during the film’s shooting. Getting into the director’s shoes was interesting, though, I think I have managed to do that minus any inhibitions.”
