Kannada stars and moms come together for a hearty Mother’s Day song

Musician Anitha Rangaswamy has brought together Kannada stars and mothers for a wholesome new track, Endigu Saladu Ninna Preethi Amma, for this Mother’s Day.

Written, composed and produced by Anitha and sung by Vasuki Vaibhav, the song, to be out tomorrow on YouTube features popular actors Diganth, Sudha Rani, Anu Prabhakar Mukherjee, Gayathri Prabhakar, Shruthi Hariharan, Padmaja Rao, Sudha Belawadi, Samyukta Hornad, Radha Ramachandran; and from the Kannada TV industry, Harini Shreekanth, Abhinav Vishwanathan, Ranjani Raghavan and musician Vasu Dixit, among others.

"Personally, I believe that mothers are living gods. After my mother passed away two and a half years back, I started seeing her in all the mothers I come across. That emotion has translated into this song. I want to celebrate the lives of all mothers," shares Anitha, adding, "Through the song, I have tried to depict the mother-children bond, which is a priceless emotion."

Calling the track a visual treat, Anitha notes, “Fans always see the celebs, they are talked and written about all the time. However, there is one important person behind them all- their mothers who are not celebrated as much. So the idea was to bring the stars and mothers together for a heartfelt medley.”

The actors jumped at the opportunity to be part of the video. She further adds, “When I was shooting the video, I felt that my mother has come alive through all these mothers. In the song, you’ll see all beautiful emotions portrayed– there is a lot of hugging, kissing, feeding. It’s going to be a treat for all, not just to see the celebrities, but also their mothers and children as well.”
