Jigarthanda's music was made in Europe
It's common in the Sandalwood to shoot songs in exotic locations abroad. But for the first time in the history of Sandalwood,
music
creation is getting a real foreign touch.Jigarthanda has already created very high expectation inKannada
industry and now the team has revealed that entire BGM (background music) was created by 50 foreign musicians. 'Jigarthanda
will be the first in the Kannada industry to do this type of an experiment,' says Arjun Janya, who is popularly known as magical composer of Sandalwood. 'All these days we use to do our recordings in Mumbai, Hyderabad or in Chennai. But this time we have recorded in three different countries: Spain, Italy and the US. We have used around 50 foreign spring orchestra including violins, etc. It was recorded in Spain with 30-plus musicians. In Los Angeles, we recorded guitar and we recorded a female voice in Italy.' The Jigarthanda is a gangster musical film featuring Rahul and Samyukta Hornad in the lead role. In recent days the team has created a buzz from Sandalwood celebrities from Upendra, Sumalatha, Sanvi Srivatsava, Amulya, Kriti Karbhanda, Chiranjeevi Sarja, Tarun and others have taken to Dubsmash to promote the Jigarthanda. 'As everyone know that foreign locations or foreign studios will be very expensive. So when I approached Sudeep sir, he asked me to explain about the plan. Once I explained the plan he was very happy,' Janya told Mirror. 'As everyone knows, Sudeep sir always stand with right things and will be very supportive for the new ideas. In this movie, Jigarthanda audience can feel it as English movie because this BGM is totally different from Indian background score.' Also, Janya explains the seamless work experience with foreign musicians. 'We could complete our track within one or two days because we sent all the notes one week earlier and all musicians practiced it before coming to the studio. The recording was done in two days. We recorded it through Skype and it was monitored by Sukumar and Krishna from Chennai studio.' The film is a joint venture o f R a g h u n a t h 's S RV Productions and Sudeep's Kichcha Creations and this film will be the comeback for Rahul who was seen in films like Nannusire, Abhimaani and Hrudayadali Idenidu earlier. 'In English films, they concentrate more on background scores and the music will be the main highlight of movie. When it comes to our local language, we have comedy, emotion, hero buildups, etc and the music for each will be different from the other. 'In West, the music arrangement will be different. It gives different experience for the audience in theatre like orchestra. In Kannada this is the first time but in other industry like in Tamil Endiran BGM was also recorded abroad. Ilayaraja also did some work with West collaboration,' Janya added.end of article
