​​Grammy winner Ricky Kej bags more awards
Ricky Kej, post his major win at this year’s Grammy Awards, continues to receive more awards and accolades from all across the globe for his album Winds of Samsara. He won two Zone Music Reporter (ZMR) Awards at New Orleans, USA, and two South African Music Awards (SAMA) in South Africa.
He bagged the ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best World Album’ titles at the ZMR Awards early this month. Radio broadcasters, radio jockeys, radio programmers and music reviewers from all over the world vote in this category. The composer also went on to win the coveted ‘Producer of the Year’ for the album across all genres at the SAMA held in April. He also won the ‘Best Contemporary Instrumental Album’ title.
Ricky says, “It is absolutely humbling and thrilling to see all this recognition and accolades that I am continuing to receive for ‘Winds of Samsara’ from different parts of the World. This is very encouraging and fills me with extreme enthusiasm to continue to make music from the heart and I pledge to do so. I am truly grateful to everyone from every country who have listened to me and felt my music.”
