Dheerendra Doss talks about musicians who've inspired him

aka Dossmode, who recently collaborated with Supriyaa Ram, Haricharan and Abhinandan David for a reprised version of Jotheyali, has been keeping himself busy with online performances and composing for films. The music director, on #QuickTakesWithBangaloreTimes, talks about musicians who have inspired him through his music journey.

1. Charan Raj and Vasuki Vaibhav: I like Chran Raj's work and have been following him since his work in Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu. I must say he always reinvents himself in the most beautiful way. Vasuki too reinvents himself without losing his identity. My favourite track from Vasuki is Dadda from Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai. This

has such a great vibe.

2. Amit Trivedi: I really admire Amit's work. Most of us were introduced to him through Dev D. His music showed us that you really don't need to worry about what is trending in the industry. Look at Emotional Atyachaar - who would've thought that a brass band and a vocalist could make a famous song. The rest of the album too, has so much character.

3. Jon Bon Jovi and Metallica: As a kid I used to listen to a lot of 80s and 90s rock albums and few of the artistes who had a huge impact on me were Jon Bon Jovi and Metallica. I really loved both these bands. Their songs were so simple, yet fresh. When we were in school, we would play their songs and would win the contest. I still love them even today.

4. Skrillex: He revolutionised the sound of electronic music. Dubstep was something that was underground back in the day and he gave it the much needed recognition.
