City to witness a virtual birthday celebration for Dr SP Balasubrahmanyam

Fans of Dr SP Balasubrahmanyam can now look forward to a musical time, from the comfort of their home. On the occasion of the singing legend's 74th birthday, city-based music group Bangalore Gayana Samaja has arranged a special live concert, where noted singers and musicians from different parts of Karnataka will be performing their sets, virtually. This online event will be taking place on Thursday, June 4 at 6.30 pm.
Most recently, the singer paid an emotional tribute to the Telugu cinema lyricist Veturi Sundararama Murthy on his 10th death anniversary, which was on May 22.The singer has also lent his voice to the Tamil version of Music Maestro Ilaiyaraja's song on humanity - Bharath Bhoomi.
