Arjun Janya’s world tour begins in Singapore this weekend

One of Kannada cinema’s most prolific music directors, Arjun Janya, is set to go globe-trotting. Starting this weekend, the music man will kick off his world tour, which will take him across Singapore, Australia, London, and wind up in the US, later next year. The first show on the tour is slated to be held on November 5 in Singapore, where Arjun will perform with a 14-piece band, along with singers Anuradha Bhat, Vyas Raj, and Anupama Bhat.
“The three-hour show will see me perform most of my hits, from films like Hebbuli, Chakravarthy, Adhyaksha, Victory, Bhajarangi, Mungaru Male 2, etc., along with a tribute to late matinee idols Rajkumar and Vishnuvardhan.The organizers are bringing in dancers from Malaysia to perform to the songs. One of the highlights of the event will be a specially-composed rap number that exhorts people to learn Kannada,” says Arjun, who will fly out for the show on Saturday.
