Music director
Anoop Seelin has reached a milestone in his career with Bairagee, which is his 50th film as a music director.
Looking back at his journey, he tells us, “It all started with Gooli in 2009. I usually don’t keep a count of the number of films I do. It was producer Krishna Sarthak who told me that I have completed 50 films with Bairagee. It’s been a wonderful journey so far.
I began my career as a playback singer with the film Ondagona Ba. Soon, I got busy with composing songs, which doesn't leave me time to sing often.”
Anoop was instrumental in the making of Bairagee. “During the time of Rustum's shoot,
Vijay Milton came up with a story which suited Shivarajkumar, so we approached him. At the same time, Krishna Sarthak, who is like family to me, was keen on producing a Shivanna’s movie. That’s how the project took off.”
Anoop reveals that
Puneeth Rajkumar was supposed to sing a number for the film. “Rhythm of Shivappa is crooned by Shivarajkumar and
Sharan. Puneeth Rajkumar was supposed to sing that song, but it could not materialise. Nakaranakha, sung by Antony Dasan, has also been received well, because we have not followed the song regular pattern. Another semi-pathos song, Grahana, and theme song Bairagee will be out soon," he adds.
