Trisha to get SIIMA honour

Trisha has ruled Tamil cinema for over a decade and still going great guns. She has several hits to her credit like Saamy, Ghilli, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule, Tirupachi and Varsham. The actress also has also crossed several milestones in her career, and faced criticism and controversies with grace and maturity.
To acknowledge her contribution to South Indian cinema, and to commemorate 100 years of Indian cinema, Trisha will receive an award for 10 Years of Excellence in Cinema at the SIIMA Awards that will be held in the UAE on September 12 and 13.
When asked how she felt about receiving this honour, Trisha said that she feels blessed and is grateful to her fans as they have ensured that she remains popular, irrespective of hits, flops or misses. She added that her biggest support system is her mother and that she's proud of every film she's done.
Trisha will be seen in MS Raju's trilingual RUM, which also features Kannada film actresses Nikesha and Charmme.
