Valentine's Day 2020: From Deepthi Mohan to Vijay Surya - A peek at how Kannada stars are celebrating love

Valentine's Day is dedicated to all the lovers in the world. It's the time for celebration of love and Valentine's Day has finally arrived. While everyone is asking one another about their plans, some are already exchanging roses, chocolates and planning their romantic dates. As the day is special for everyone in their own way, here is how our Sandalwood stars are celebrating Valentine's Day with their loved ones.

Dynamic Prince Prajwal Devaraj, who is riding high on the success of ‘Gentleman’, is celebrating Valentine's Day along with wife Ragini Chandran in Hubli. He is currently busy with four movies including, ‘Inspector Vikram’, ‘Dil Ka Raja’, ‘Arjun Gowda’, and ‘Veeram’. Prajwal spoke about celebrating Valentine’s Day to Etimes and said, “This Valentine's Day is special, ‘Inspector Vikram’ audio release and an event called PD 30 is scheduled on 14th Feb in Hubli. Ragini is performing at the event, which is dedicated to me. It's the first time, so it's going to be a memorable one.”

Actor Rishi recently celebrated his anniversary on February 9 and has continued celebrating the Valentine's week. “For me and Swathi, technically February 9th is Valentine's Day when we celebrate our anniversary because this is the day we started our relationship. February 14th is a lead up to it. So, this week is an anniversary week and it's very special for us. For me, the idea of a celebration is about being grateful of what we have in life, and show appreciation for all the things we have in life. That's how I celebrate relationships with my loved ones, with Swathi and others on Valentine's Day,” Rishi told us. He is currently busy with ‘Ramanavatara’, ‘Sakalakala Vallabha’, and ‘Seere movies’.

Sandalwood couple Meghana Raj and Chiranjeevi Sarja, who are busy with multiple movies, are likely to spend their time shooting on Valentine's Day. “We don't have any plans in particular, because I don't think we need one day to celebrate the relationship we share with each other. As I and Chiranjeevi Sarja are working on this Valentine's Day, we hope there is some time for dinner and watching a movie together. I think watching a film together is the best way to spend Valentine's Day. Chiru has surprised me with a new puppy for Valentine's Day. So, my Valentine's Day gift is a cute puppy,” said Meghana Raj.

Anupama Gowda is currently busy shooting for a Bollywood movie ‘The Fallen’, and will be spending Valentine's Day doing the same. She said, “It’s been 8 years of relationship with him (acting) and it was such an amazing journey with a lot of emotions. This is where I have cried, laughed, fought, argued, screamed and had my best experiences of life. He held me so tight and helped me become what I’m today. So for the first time in 8 years, I’m spending my Valentine’s Day with him finally and can’t ask for more. I’m just grateful and I love him and he is my forever Valentine,” Anupama confessed.

Vijya Surya will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on his anniversary and also celebrating the arrival of his first baby. “Valentine's Day is special for me because I celebrate my wedding anniversary as well. This year, it's even more special to me because I celebrate my first anniversary and also my wife has given me the biggest gift - a son. So, it's really special and I think this Valentine's Day is going to be celebrated with lots of love in the family and everyone is elated in welcoming the first baby after a very long time,” said Vijay Surya

Harshika Poonacha, who is celebrating Valentine’s Day alone said, “I believe every day is Valentine's Day for people who love themselves. So, I celebrate Valentine's Day by treating myself in a special way. I will go buy my favourite dress and go to my favourite restaurant and be happy. I will be spending the day by myself.”

Deepthi Mohan-starrer ‘Gift Box’ is releasing on Valentine's Day, and she is likely to stun the audience with her performance and looks in the movie. Deepthi, who will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with her boyfriend, said, “Not to sound clichéd, but I truly believe love should be celebrated every single day. I’m more of a home person and will be spending Valentine’s Day watching a movie at home with my boyfriend and ordering in some comfort food.”
