Crazy Star's top five films ever

Actor, director, producer, lyricist, music director and editor Ravichandaran's latest release Krazy Star has received mixed reviews. While some call it an absolutely brilliant film, some others refer to it as a drag. No matter how Krazy Star is turning out for Ravichandaran, his fans continue to love him for all the work he has done thus far. Here's a look at some of his best films in the past.
Premaloka: The 1987 film Premaloka, starring Ravichandaran and Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla, is probably Ravichandaran's biggest hit film ever. The film is said to have been inspired by the English musical movie Grease 2.

Ranadheera: Though this was a remake of the Hindi film Hero, it fared very well at the box office. The 1988 film, which was directed by the film's lead actor Ravichandaran, starred Kushboo in the female lead. Another interesting element is that all the songs of this film were rendered by SP Balasubramanyam.

Ramachaari: Though the film did not fare all that well commercially, it was one of Ravichandaran's most noteworthy performances. The actor, who was directed by D Rajendra Babu in this film, was criticially acclaimed for his performance in this film. Ramachaari starred Malashree in the female lead and was even screened at the Ontario Film Festival.

Malla: The 2004 film was probably the second biggest hit Ravichandaran had, after Premaloka. This film, which brought together for the first time producer Raamu and Ravichandaran, is said to have introduced Kalaripayattu in films. The film also starred Real Star Upendra's wife Priyanka Upendra in the female lead.
