Zaid Khan to shed chocolate boy image for action thriller

The strapping lad who made his debut with the time travel film Banaras is getting into action mode. Zaid Khan is busy with a yet-untitled film by Puneeth Rudranag, who was earlier assistant director to the KGF-fame filmmaker Prashanth Neel.
Puneeth says, “Zaid will go through a workshop and rigorous training to get into the skin of the character, we have given him three months to prepare his body, go through training to understand mannerisms, and all this will portray him in a new look. In his first outing, he looked like a chocolate boy. In this film, he gets a raw makeover, a polar opposite.”
The subject, according to Rudrang, “has a universal appeal, and occurs in a contemporary period, laced with thriller and action elements. Action sequences will be shot in an innovative way. We want to make the film in Kannada, and then we will think of releasing it in other languages.”
