Director
Yogaraj Bhat's latest offering, Panchatantra, is going places, literally. The film, which has
Vihan Gowda,
Sonal Monteiro,
Akshara Gowda and
Rangayana Raghu in pivotal roles, is set to be remade in Telugu. Producer Hemanth Paradkar had earlier hinted that he was showing the film to friends from Tollywood and that some of them loved the film, even though they could not follow Kannada, especially for the racing sequence.
The film, we hear, is likely to be called Andhra vs Telengana in the new version. There is no word yet if Yogaraj will helm the Telugu version or if any of the cast will be retained.
The film follows a spat between a bunch of oldies and youngsters, which is to be resolved with a race. Based on the Aesop fable The Tortoise and the Hare, Panchatantra explores the race called life.
