Yet another Nishkarsha

Veteran director Sunil Kumar Desai’s 1993 heist thriller Nishkarsha, had the late Vishnuvardhan and Anant Nag in lead roles and won many awards back then. The filmmaker’s long-time associate CM Vijay is now set to make a film that he believes has revolutionary content with the same title. “Sunil Kumar sir not only allowed us to use the title, but has also promised to support the directorial debut of his associate,”says Vivek Chakravarthy, the music director of the film.
The new Nishkarsha, which goes on floors later this week, has Aniketh and Divya Uruduga in the lead, with Anant Nag (who was in the original as well), Chikkanna, Sai Kumar, Achyuth Kumar, Kishore Kumar and Sudha Belawadi in supporting roles. “The title apart, Anant sir is the only other common factor between the two films,” adds Vivek.
