After a hiatus of three years, you will see Sandalwood actor
Yashas Surya sporting a long beard and hair and speaking the
North Karnataka
dialect in
Garadi
, his new film.
Yashas says, “It’s an out-and-out mass entertainer and I will get a complete image makeover for a mass look. I will be sporting a long beard and hair to fit in with the character. I will speak in the North Karnataka dialect which is, again, a challenge.” Garadi, with the tagline Be Ready, marks Yashas’s third collaboration with
Yogaraj Bhat and he is “excited to work with
Yogaraj
Bhat sir.”
The story is set in the North Karnataka region and will be shot in historical places like Badami and Aihole.
The film’s muhurtha was held at a temple in Hirekerur, Haveri district, hometown of actor-turned-minister B C Patil, who is the producer. The event was graced by Challenging Star Darshan last weekend.
V Harikrishna is the music director, while
Niranjan Babu is the cinematographer and Vinod, Vikram and Kourava Venkatesh will compose the stunts.
Yashas has also done a cameo in Tribble Riding which has Ganesh, Aditi Prabhudeva, Megha Shetty and
Rachana Inder in lead roles.
