Kannada actor Yash became a national household name after his film 'KGF' performed well all over the country. Now, the actor has signed up for his next film with Malayalam director Geetu Mohandas. Titled 'Toxic: A fairy Tale', the film was announced a couple of months back and the film went on floors too. However, the film is likely to see a delay as the shooting has been temporarily stopped.

Actor Yash explaining to The Hollywood Reporter said that the initial date given for the release is April 10, 2025 but it was premature and mentioned that there was a delay in shooting because of date issues and it took more time as expected and said that the film release date will now be delayed.


Sharing his concerns and complications they face as a team, the actor noted that coordinating the schedule of all actors from different film industries is a huge obstacle and it was a challenging task to bring them all together. 'Toxic' is a period drama and the film's story revolves around a drug cartel that operates from Goa. The movie has the tagline 'A fairy tale for grown-ups' and the makers initially had plans to cast Kareena Kapoor Khan as the female lead before they approached Nayanthara and reports states that the Bollywood actress decided to walk out with the lady superstar being part of the cast. The movie will also star Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Shruti Haasan among others in pivotal roles. The title teaser has already been launched and more updates are awaited.


On the work front, Yash has 'Ramayana' directed by Nitesh Tiwari. He is said to play Raavan in the Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi starrer.
