Telugu actor Vijaya Rangaraju is quite literally in the line of fire, after friends, family and fans of late Kannada matinee idol
Vishnuvardhan took umbrage at his recent comments about an alleged incident that occurred many years ago on a film set that the two actors were a part of. Since he made the statement Vijaya Rangaraju has been bombarded with messages to issue an apology.
Joining the long list of people from the Kannada industry who have taken offence at the stateement is Rocking Star Yash, who has demanded stringent action against Vijaya Rangaraju.
In his latest post on social media, Yash says, "Vishnuvardhan is an idol of Kannada film industry . The way he lead his life by following values remains to be an inspiration for us. The person who has tried to take publicity by making such remarks against one of the finest actors of our industry should take back his words and seek an apology."
Yash has joined a host of Sandalwood actors from Sandalwood, who have criticised Vijaya Rangaraju for making comments portraying the legendary actor in a bad light. Actors
Puneeth Rajkumar, Dhananjaya, Kichcha Sudeep and
Ganesh have also demanded action against Vijay Ranagaraju. Puneeth's post reads, "Defaming our senior most artist Dr.Vishnuvardhan was uncalled for.We want the concerned person to provide an unconditional apology for his act. The entire film industry stands united respecting art and an artist's contribution
Let us be human first #RespectArtAndArtist(sic)."
Meanwhile, Vishnuvardhan fans association Vishnu Sena Samithi had filed a complaint with KFCC against Vijaya Rangaraju.
