The upcoming film 'Ramayana' is one of the most anticipated projects in India. Shot in Hindi, the pan-Indian film will be dubbed and released in other regional languages as well. The movie directed by Nitesh Tiwari has Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of Lord Ram, Sita played by Sai Pallavi, and now the new buzz is that 'KGF' actor Yash will be playing the role of Ravana in the film. According to the reports of the news agency IANS, it is said that Yash's character is the ruler of the golden city of Lanka, and his outfits will be crafted from actual gold.
The reports of the news agency read that the important reason why Yash's outfits will be made of gold is that the character Ravana was king of Sri Lanka, which was a golden province, so all his clothes and items were made of real gold, and they want to implement the same.
Actor Yash, apart from playing the lead role of the film, will also be a co-producer. The film officially went on floors in April this year, and the shooting will soon begin in full fledge. Speaking about his choice of producing 'Ramayana', Yash earlier said that it was his long-term aspiration to make films that showcase Indian cinema at a global level. The movie is said to be one of the top amongst to be taken, with a whopping budget of Rs 835 crore just for Part 1 of the film.
