Working with Darshan sir is always special: Rachita Ram

“Wherever I go these days, all that people ask me about is Kranti. They are wondering why we haven’t given them any updates. But more than everything, it’s Darshan sir’s fans who are more upbeat than ever. They’ve personally taken it upon themselves to promote this film,” smiles Rachita Ram. The actor who plays the leading lady of this Harikrishna directorial is extremely happy that the movie marks her third on screen pairing with the Challenging Star and co-incidentally it’s her tenth year in the Kannada film industry.

“It’s always special working with Darshan sir,” she tells us at which point Darshan interjects saying that Rachita has been the same since day one. “It’s the same for me,” she says adding that Bulbul, Ambareesha and Kranti will always remain special for her. Kranti, she avers, is a highly motivational film. “I think not much of this genre are made these days, so you will find several aspects about this film that will inspire you,” points out Rachita. Her director Harikrishna is someone she also admires for his silent ways. “Since I also have an interest in music after finishing my portions, I’d sit with Hari sir and ask him how he plans to do the re-recording for those bits. That process fascinates me,” she gushes. The film which is said to portray the education system and its pitfalls, will see Rachita in a never-seen-before kind of role. “You’ll be rather surprised when you see me,” she smiles. Kranti which is said to be a take on the education system and its pitfalls, has been produced by B Suresh and Shylaja Nag under Media House Studio.
