There are reports doing the rounds that Sandalwood's Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar will likely to miss the south film industries' centenary celebrations of Indian cinema that is being held between September 21 and 25 in Chennai. The reason: the shoot for the Jayanth C Paranjee film Ninnindale, most of which will be held in New York. According to sources, the New York shoot of the film was scheduled a long time ago for mid-September.
This did not clash with the centenary celebrations at the time as they were scheduled to be held on an earlier date. However, due to various reasons, the celebrations will now start on September 21.
However, Karnataka Film Chamber and Commerce President Vijayakumar has said that news of Puneeth's imminent absence from the celebrations are all rumours.
