'Gandhada Gudi', the dream project of Puneeth Rajkumar, directed by Amoghavarsha and produced by Puneeth's wife Ashwini, was released on October 28 on the occasion of Puneeth’s first death anniversary. The one and half hour documentary film, 'Gandhada Gudi' has been warmly received by audiences, as it allowed them to see Puneeth, the personality beyond stardom.
Initially, 'Gandhada Gudi' had been planned as an OTT release but things overnight after the demise of Puneeth and the makers all decided to give a theatrical release to allow Puneeth fans to see Puneeth on the big screen.
Since its theatrical release, 'Gandhada Gudi' has been doing well at the box office. The film, which is believed to have grossed close to Rs 15 crore so far, is expected to breach the Rs 20 crore mark by the end of the week, according to conservative estimates. 'Gandhada Gudi' is expected to be released in OTT within a month. Gandhada Gudi will drop in Kannada, Hindi and English versions. The news making rounds is, the film might release in OTT on November 24th, though it is not yet confirmed. The makers are yet to announce the OTT release date officially.
