Director Yogaraj Bhat has been credited for bringing the focus back on untapped scenic locations in Karnataka with his films. But that changes with his next film, Vaastu Prakaara, which he’s shot extensively in Switzerland. Naturally, everyone’s been wondering just what made Yogaraj choose a location like Switzerland for a film that has a very Indian title. The director says, “Most things Indian have more takers, or more colloqually called
bakras, outside the country.
Be it Vaastu, Ayurveda, Idli or Maddur Vade, these Indian items make for great business outside, as there are enough people who we can put ‘topi’ on,” jokes Yogaraj, adding that that was one of his main reasons for using a foreign setting for this film.
