Who will direct Ganesh's next?

Sandalwood is abuzz with rumours that director MD Sridhar, who was supposed to direct Ganesh's next Mr. Kanwarlal, has backed off from the project.
While the director has backed off from the project some time ago, everyone is now wondering who will helm the project now. The film, which is a Kannada remake of the Salman Khan entertainer Dabangg, will be produced by Dinesh Gandhi.
When Arbaaz was in Bengaluru recently, we asked him if he has been approached for the film and he said that he might have been approached to play the negative role, but he's not sure yet.
Looks like Ganesh is the only solid man who's still with the film.
