When star kids make big screen debuts

Darshan and son Vineesh will be seen in Airavata
When star kids make big screen debuts
The life of a celebrity — big or small — is always great fodder for gossip columns. And if it is a film star, interest levels increase manifold. While many still try to keep their professional and personal lives separate, that line is becoming thinner by the day. Shah Rukh Khan, who went out of his way to keep baby AbRam out of the public eye early on, gave the world a glimpse of the toddler in his last release.

Back home in Sandalwood, actors like Darshan and Prem too have taken the cinematic route to show us their kids.
Darshan-Vineesh
Recently, Darshan decided to let his seven-year-old son Vineesh share a scene with him in his upcoming film Airavata. The actor and his son were spotted dressed in police uniforms and exchanging dialogues on the set. While the exact details of the scene haven’t been revealed yet, it is said to be towards the end of the film.
Mahesh Babu-Gautham Krishna
The media shy Mahesh Babu, who is also fiercely protective of his private life, introduced his son onscreen in 1: Nenokkadine, in an interesting manner. While the two of them do share a few scenes in the film, they don’t feature as father and son. Gautham plays the younger version of Mahesh, and is seen every time Mahesh reminisces about his childhood.
Prem-Surya
Earlier this year, director-turned-actor Prem was also a proud father. While the actor’s son Soorya doesn’t have any scenes in the film, he appears in the title track Banda Banda Banda Banda DK Saheba, with his father. The father-son duo not just danced to the same song, but also sported the same costume.

Venkatesh-Arjun Daggubati
In Venkatesh’s latest Telugu film Gopala Gopala — the remake of the Hindi film OMG!Oh My God — his youngest son Arjun was seen playing his onscreen son. While Arjun wasn’t there throughout the film, he did share a couple of scenes with his father.
Shah Rukh Khan-AbRam
If there’s one Bollywood director who ensures her credits are as entertaining as the film, it’s Farah Khan. In her latest directorial, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Happy New Year, she decided to also introduce Shah Rukh’s youngest, AbRam. Though the toddler was only seen sharing the screen with his dad for a few seconds, he grabbed the audiences’ attention like none other.
