When Srinidhi Shetty recalled her limited screen time in 'KGF' debut

'KGF' fame Srinidhi Shetty made her acting debut with the first installment of the action thriller film series, where she appeared for just five minutes. This brief appearance led to misconceptions about her role in the sequel, as many assumed she would have a similarly minor presence in the Yash starrer 'KGF Chapter 2'.

Throwback to the time when Srinidhi shared the challenges she faced during the long wait for the second film's release. In an interview with OTTplay, she shared that she had faith in director Prashanth Neel, who assured her that her character, Reena, would play a more significant role in the sequel. However, the prolonged delay, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, left her feeling frustrated and uncertain about her career.

She said, "As far as KGF was concerned, I knew my character arc—start, mid, and end. When the team started shooting, they realized that the scale of the film was so large that they had to split it into two parts, and in doing so, my character had pretty much nothing to do in Part 1. It was all about the introduction of the hero and the other characters."

Despite these challenges, she remained committed to the project, putting in over six years of hard work.

Now, Srinidhi is set to star in films like 'HIT: The Third Case' and 'Kichcha 47'.
