vWhen the team of the upcoming film Jessie went all out to can some picturesque shots for the song Male Bantu, little did they know of the danger, in the form of a crocodile lurking very close to where they were shooting. The film's director Pavan Wadeyar says, 'We had zeroed in on a really beautiful location at the Sigandur backwaters for a couple of shots for our song.
While there were boards that warned us to be wary of the crocodiles in the area, a lot of the locals assured us that the boards were only to ward off tourists who were keen to take a dip. So we created a bamboo raft and got both
Dhananjaya and Parul (Yadav) onto it before we began the shoot. But as we were shooting, I noticed a silhouette of something moving towards the raft on the monitor. I freaked out, but did not want to scare the rest of the team. So I just said we had to stop shooting immediately on the pretext of a lack of adequate lighting and got the two onto the bank. I was, in fact, convinced it was a crocodile only on the editing table, where you can see the unmistakable outline of the creature swimming towards the raft. My lead stars did not know how close they were to danger until then. However, all said and done, we are lucky nothing untoward happened and I managed to get the shot we required for this song.'
