'Kurukshetra', starring ‘Challenging Star’ Darshan will be released on August 2, 2019. Actress and MP Sumalatha Ambareesh recently revealed that she is eagerly waiting to see the multi-starrer film. ‘Kurukshetra’ is the last film starring the late actor Ambareesh. The film will be released in five languages. The late actor’s wife, actress and parliamentarian Sumalatha Ambareesh posted on her Twitter account, "I am eagerly waiting to see Duryodhana and Bhishma playing together on screen in 'Kurukshetra'.

Kiccha Sudeep and villain Ravishankar’s combination had created wonders is Sandalwood. After the movie ‘Kempegowda’, Ravishankar has made several appearances with Sudeep in the movie. Ravishankar is back again with Sudeep in ‘Kotigobba 3’. Sudeep is currently involved in the shooting of 'Kotigobba-3', and the movie is being shot in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The movie has a high voltage action scene.

Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who started her career in Kannada film industry and became Tollywood star actress, recently, spoke to a Tamil channel interview where she reportedly stated how difficult a language Kannada is. This has apparently made Kannada film lovers unhappy.

Kannada audience has been outraged ever since on Rashmika Mandanna and are demanding that Rashmika should be banned from the Kannada film industry. Some organisations in Karnataka have come forward to complain to the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. Based on this development, it is doubtful that the upcoming movie of Rashmika and Vijay Devarnkonda will be released in Karnataka.

‘Golden Star’ Ganesh starrer ‘Geetha’ is all ready to release on September 6. The team is already preparing for the release of the film. The film is directed by Vijay Nagendra and produced by Syed Salam under his home banner. The film will be sent to the Censor Board after the film's post-production. ‘Geetha’ has a backdrop of Gokak movement. This is the first time a story of the movement is coming up in Sandalwood.

Sandalwood most awaited movie ‘Pailwan’ starring Sudeep is all set for the release in 2500 screens on September 12, across India, making it the biggest release in Kannada film industry. ‘Pailwan’ is directed by S Krishna and produced by Swapna Krishna. This action drama will be releasing in five languages including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam across India.
