— a film that deals with child marriage — releases today. Based on a true incident, the story is centered on a cycle and how it empowers a 13-year-old girl in a village in Karnataka.

“In the city, we cycle for recreational and fitness reasons, but in the movie, a teenager cycles for her life. The Karnataka government gives free cycles to 13-year-old girls, who are in Class 8, to encourage them to continue going to school. Thanks to this, the protagonist in the film feels that if she managed to get two wheels in Class 8, she can get four wheels in eight more years — that’s how a cycle fuels her dreams. Among those who got a peek at the trailer is actor Sadhu Kokila. Impressed with it, he said, “It is very unfortunate that even today, girl children are subjected to such social ills. So, this film is very relevant.”
