Vishnuvardhan Memorial in Mysuru turns shooting set

Ronny, starring actors Kiran Raj and Radhya and directed by Gurutej Shetty, will be the first Kannada film to be shot at the Vishnuvardhan Memorial located near Halalu village on the outskirts of Mysuru. The team recently shot a few key scenes of the film here.
Revealing their reasons for choosing the memorial as a key location, director Gurutej Shetty said, “We thought this was the perfect place for flashback sequences. Also, the spot is free from traf fic snarls making it a perfect venue for shooting.”
Radhya tells us, “The place has a special vibe. I am in awe of this place. It houses rare photographs of the legendary actor Vishnuvardhan and even the statue serves as an inspiration for young actors like me to do work with dedication and hard work. Shooting in the premises of the memorial is a blessing and being a Mysuru girl, I am glad I got the opportunity to shoot here.”
Actor Kiran Raj, who shot for over 10 days, states, “I was blown away after seeing Vishnu sir’s car. It’s so great to see hundreds of people lining up every day to see Vishnuvardhan’s Memorial shows the adulation he has even now, despite the place not being publicised much.
