Vihan Gowda’s first film mirrors his own life

Model-turned-actor Vihan Gowda will make his debut as a hero in journalist-turned-director Gowrish Akki’s debut venture, Cinema My Darling. The film deals with the tale of a struggling actor in the film industry. “My character is that of a boy who is passionate about cinema, but his family opposes the idea of him getting into showbiz. I relate to the character as it is similar to my life. My parents are also wary about me signing this film. But I’ve always been passionate about entering the film industry. I was a dancer with Shiamak Davar’s troupe. I’ve also modelled and been a DJ. My parents wanted me to complete my education. Hence, I finished my MBA and have joined films after that, leaving them no room for complaints,” says Vihaan.Incidentally, Vihaan has also acted in another film. “I’ve a cameo in Yogaraj Bhat’s upcoming film Parapancha. I play veteran actor Ashok’s son in the film,” he says, adding that the cameo might release before his first full-fledged role.
