Veteran actor Shivaram passes away

Senior actor Shivaram who was hospitalized after collapsing at his residence in Bengaluru on Tuesday night has breathed his last at a private hospital in Bengaluru on Saturday. He was 84.

In his career spanning over six decades, Shivaram has acted with legendary actors like Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan and Ambareesh . He had even donned the role of director and producer. Some of his notable films are Sharapanjara,

Shivaram who was a staunch devotee of

Ayyappa Swamy

used to visit Sabarimala every year. A few days before the collapse, the actor had been involved in a road accident while driving his car. Since he suffered head injuries with bleeding, doctors had ruled out a surgery due to his age factor. Several actors like Prem, Shivarajkumar,

Doddanna

and many others visited the hospital yesterday to know about his health condition.
