Vedhika's a Kannada girl, eventually!

Kannadiga girl Vedhika made her Sandalwood debut seven years ago. Ever since, she has appeared in films across various other south languages. While there were offers from her home state right through, she has only now chosen to return to Kannada for a film opposite Shivarajkumar, which is being directed by P Vasu “Shivarajkumar sir is a super star here. In addition to his acting skills, it is his down-to-earth personality and his warm and humble nature that strikes you.In spite of all the success and stardom, he continues to remain grounded -that speaks volumes about him. I'd always wanted to work with him. Shivalinga, incidentally, is not the film opposite him that was offered to me. But while the previous ones did not materialize, I am glad this one did,“ says Vedhika. The actress is rumoured to be playing a performance oriented role, but refuses to divulge details. “I am excited to be sharing screen space with talented actors like Urvashi ma'am,“ is all she says, adding, “The best part about being here is that I get to speak in Kannada on the set. That is really like being home.“
