Varun Dhawan, who plays a college student named Sreenath Prasad in Main Tera Hero, says that the name of his character made him feel at ease in Bangalore. “While we were shooting, I didn’t feel out of place since there were many people on the campus whose names also were Sreenath or Prasad. They were always attentive and receptive when my character’s name was being called out,” Varun jokes.
The scriptwriters chose to name his character so as, along with the film being shot in Bangalore, they felt naming him after the two iconic pacemen
Javagal Srinath and
Venkatesh Prasad was the only apt thing to do.
