Television actress
Vaishnavi Gowda is all set to make her small screen comeback with prime-time serial, Lakshana.
Quizzed about the teaser which shows
Vaishnavi in a ‘grey shade’, she says: “I don’t want to put labels or give out too much now. I am back after almost 2.5 years and I want people to watch the serial with curiosity and enjoy the twists and turns.”
Vaishnavi was last seen in the 8th season of
Bigg Boss last year. She is known for her role as Sannidhi in the serial, Agni Sakshi, which aired for almost six years, before wrapping up in 2020.
Is grey a good shade for a comeback, considering that Vaishnavi has always been seen as the girl-next-door? “Well, as actors, we should not be worried about it because ultimately, it is the acting that matters. No matter what I am personally, I want people to enjoy the show I put up on screen,” she says.
On why she chose to make a comeback with Lakshana, Vaishnavi says, “The process was like a homecoming. I was very comfortable with the production house. Also, I like their quality of work, the detailing, the way they capture every scene. They are very professional and that made me say yes very quickly.”
Vaishnavi is known for her inclination towards spirituality, both online and offline.
Commenting on how important spirituality is for actors, she says, “Not just actors, spirituality helps everyone lead a better life. As actors, we often work for 12-14 hours and spend hours in front of the camera and lights. We are always surrounded by people. So, we need that inner strength to keep up that energy, which I believe comes from practising spirituality.”
With over 2 lakh subscribers, Vaishnavi’s online channel is only growing strong each day. “During COVID, I got online to channel my creative energy as we were all stuck inside our homes. But my videos started getting great responses. Later, it helped me have that 'personal connect' with the audience. Social media is new to me and I am enjoying it,” she adds. “I am just grateful for all the opportunities that are coming my way this year,” she concludes.
