According to reports in an English daily, the actor will be directing and will play the lead role in a

political

drama. This film will see him collaborate with Kannadiga producer NS Rajkumar. Ravichandran is said to be working on a unique story for this one and the makers of the film will make an official announcement once the story is into place.

Meawnhile, the actor has been making headlines for his film Kannadiga, which will see him in the role of a scholar whose family has been preserving Kannada and its literary heritage through generations. The film, which is being helmed by BM Giriraj, will also see Paavana play the actor's wife. The film also has Jamie Alter, Jayasree and Balaji Manohar in lead roles. The film was shot majorly in Shivamogga and Chikamgaluru. Ravi Basrur has composed the music. According to director Giriraj B M, “The film which has garnered the interest of film aficionados across the world, will be screened at several film festivals.
