Upendra releases the anthem from Akshith Shashikumar's debut film Seethayana

This song was released on Dasara
Among the many young star kids lined up for a debut in Sandalwood is Akshith Shashikumar. He is set to make his debut with a trilingual film titled

Seethayana

. This film is being made in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. The film is in its final stage of production. The team released the first song, which is a classical number that brings to life an age old shloka. Sandalwood star Upendra released this song coinciding with the joyous occasion of Dasara.

He complimented the classical tune and also asked fans to support and encourage Akshith, who he wants to do well and reach the success that his father Shashikumar has seen during his prime.

The team, about the song, say, "

Maharshi Valmiki

wrote a glorious shloka describing the

Seeta Rama Kalyana

, which has been the representation of the Hindu marriage system. Initially Ramayana was the story of Seetha under the protection of Rama. This is what inspired us to make a movie called Seethayaan We know this shloka and have been watching it since decades on marriage invitation cards but never got to listen to it. Surprisingly the shloka is not there in any audio format. The lyrics to this are: SREE RAMA PATHNI JANAKASYA PUTHRI SEETHANGANA SUNDHARA KOMALAANGI BHOOGARBHAJAATHA BHUVANAIKA MAATHA VADHOOVARAABHYAM VARADHAA BHAVANTHU. We are proud and fortunate to use this

Sanskrit

shloka as lead anthem in our film. Our efforts in making this possible must require your immense support and blessings."
