It may seem like a last minute addition to a film that is all set for release, but lead actor of Ugramm, Srimurali, reveals that it was always a part of the plan. “The film has been ready for a while now, but we planned to shoot our commercial track — Ugramm Veeram — just before the release,” says Srimurali. The song, written by Ramu and composed by Ravi Basavaraju, is an adrenaline-packed number, the concept of which is loosely based on the reasons behind the festival of Holi.
“Holi is a celebration of good over evil. But going with the theme and storyline of Ugramm, our song is a celebration of evil over evil. The choreography by dance master Murali adds to the feel and drama. It has become my ‘pick-me-up’ song. I just have to listen to it to feel charged and ready to take on the world. It is very colourful, vibrant and aggressive,” says the actor.
