Anjali, who assisted on Ambi Ning Vayassaytho and is currently interning with filmmaker Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah’s production house, is being launched in director Hariprasad Jayanna's Padavi Poorva, along with

newbie Pruthvi Shammanur

. The film is being backed by filmmaker Yogaraj Bhat and Ravi Shammanur.

Anjali tells us, “I had approached Yogaraj sir to work with him as an assistant. But he asked me to audition for a film, which I did. However, due to personal reasons, I couldn't do that film. Then a few weeks later, I got a call from Yogaraj sir's office for another film. That's when I met Hariprasad sir and after the narration, I said yes. The film revolves around a sweet college love story and highlights the importance of friendship. The storyline is set in the early 90s, so, for many it will be a trip down memory lane. For me, though, it will be a different experience. I have been home-schooled, so I never got to live the school life. Though I am currently studying law, I never experienced moments like what Hariprasad sir narrated. I felt this was the right project for me, because I could live college life through this film," she says, adding, "Even though I have worked as an AD and know what goes into the making of a film, I am very excited about this project. Pruthvi and I have already begun attending workshops to prepare for our roles," she signs off.
